Right now, I’ve sold through all my duplicate pocket cornet examples. But I am doing some housecleaning on the rest of my “regular” cornet collection and have a list of those instruments below.

Conn New Wonder (Victor) outfit, c.1916  nice player! $649.00

HN White “King” Silvertone cornet outfit, #177560.  30s. Silver plated, very nice and ready to play. $749.00

Hall & Quinby Bb rotary valve cornet. Nickel Silver, ready to play.  One of the great Boston makers, c.1870s.  Bb and A shanks, HP. $2,750.00

Lyon & Healy Own Make “Duplex” outfit, #3308. Very cool lever-operated key change mechanism, full body engraving, ready to go, and very good player.  $895.00

Olds “The Olds” (standard wrap) cornet, 30s, #4212, raw brass. Some of the nicest playing Olds cornets, great for jazz.  $595.00     (can be lacquered for +$200).

Olds “Super” cornet, 30s, original lacquer, #6668 case. Great jazz horns.  $595.00

Besson (Paris cornet), silver, decorative engraving, #65551, early 1900s. Beautiful original, HP slide only. Orig. case.  $649.00

Besson “Fabrication” Trumpet.  20s, raw brass. Awesome player.  Not worn out like most of these. Slimline case.  Choice of pros prior to WW2.  $950.00

Stratton Eb rotary cornet.  This is in parts. Nickel silver. 1870s. On Ebay.

Jazzophon by Wunderlich. German, 1920s. Very rare, two bells, shaped like saxophone. One bell features built-in “Harmon” mute.  Nickel plated, great condition. Most of these are in museums.  $3,495.00

Echo Cornet (unmarked) identical to Higham.  Silver plated, two repro shanks. On Ebay.

F. Besson (London) Echo Cornet #35399. Rare outfit, but echo bell is a reproduction carefully made to play in tune and to fit the original case.  $1,295.00

John Heald long model cornet #2512.  Complete outfit (original case and shanks), silver plated.  Heald hand-made beautiful cornets in Springfield, Mass.  Rare! $795.00

Missenharter long model (S-leadpipe).  Raw brass, with minimal engraving.  But great original condition and very good player.  LP slide. $125.00

H.B. Jay Trumpet outfit. c.1920.  Silver plated.  Good condition, but “as acquired” -- no polishing or cleanup undertaken.  $149.00

Buescher “Epoch” cornet #5006.  c.1905. Restored, silver plated. Short third valve design, very unique, with original case. $850.00
