J.W. Pepper (Importer) • no. 11819 • 1890’s

This Pepper pocket was undoubtedly made by Gautrot, who made them for many dealers, including Lyon & Healy.

It required extensive restoration, which I did (see before and during photos at lower left).

In raw brass, this cornet had its valves rebuilt by Anderson plating and is a very good player.

Length (shank removed): 8.625”

Bell Diameter: 3”

Bore: .455

The pocket cornet appeared in the 1892 J.W. Pepper catalog, in both Bb and Eb versions, and presumably for other years as well.
